HVAC Maintenance

RANKIN GROUP LTD realizes that maintaining a comfortable environment is most important to you and your business. One main factor to ensure this comfort is properly maintained heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.

Call or email for a competitive proposal on your Preventive Maintenance Program so you don't get left out in the cold.

Custom Preventative Maintenance

RANKIN GROUP LTD will design a service frequency schedule that meets your needs. Annual, semi-annual, quarterly or monthly plans are available. Services will be performed in accordance with OEM recommended maintenance schedules.

Energy Management

Energy Management Systems offer a full service, turnkey approach that makes it easy for you to achieve cost savings, month after month. From a thorough initial assessment of your facility, to installation of your customized system, to the follow-up service and energy savings reports, we provide everything you need.

Exhaust Ventilation

It's important that your business has good systems for heating, cooling and ventilation. There are many pollutants and other objectionable things in the air inside so If you keep re-circulating the same bad air the air quality will continue to suffer .

Make-Up Air Units

This HVAC application involves taking outside air, then heating and conditioning it to replace the air exhausted from industrial or commercial buildings.

Air exhausted from industrial or commercial buildings must be replaced. If provisions are not made for make-up air, there will likely be air starvation creating negative pressure within the building. This negative pressure, in turn, causes: outside air infiltration and cold drafts; down or back drafts in heating equipment flues, ventilators and stacks; reduced exhaust fan air volumes resulting in inadequate removal of contaminants; uncomfortable, and in many instances, unhealthy working conditions; and other problems.

Refrigeration

A refrigeration mechanic fabricates, installs, alters and repairs/services any system used for cooling and/or heating (i.e. heat pumps) in closed systems that contain a refrigerant or a brine and thermoelectric cooling. This includes piping, controls and electrical work. These workers also connect rooftop units to gas and test and balance systems.

Boilers

A boiler is the heat source for radiant systems. Top of the line boilers are state of the art using cast aluminum heat exchangers as opposed to cast iron resulting in AFUE ratings up to 90% which means better efficiency resulting in lower utility bills.

Complete System Controls

A centralized control system is needed in maintaining the overall integrity and effectiveness of a system.

An HVAC control system is a computerized system used for controlling climate in buildings.

Pneumatic systems, used in the past to control HVAC systems, work on the principle of applying pressure.

Electronic systems, a product of more recent technological development, work through a system of computers and other electronic components controlled by remote-access central controlling systems.

The most recent innovation in managing climate control systems incorporates digital technology. Buildings that use this are centrally wired through internet connections, with the main control accessible through a web browser, or via a program customized for intended use. Program features usually include time schedules, remote access controllers, logic controllers, timers, trend logs, set points and alarms.

Analog and digital inputs are used to measure variables such as temperature, humidity and pressure. Digital inputs usually refer to 'dry' contacts from the device used to start or stop the equipment, while analog inputs refer to current or voltage signals used to control the movement of the medium (which are air, steam and water) through valves, dampers or motors.
